AIZAWL | May 26, 2026 – In a major move aimed at boosting the state’s security apparatus and generating employment opportunities, the Government of Mizoram has officially announced a massive recruitment drive for 444 law enforcement positions.
According to the official notification released by the state home department, the recruitment drive will fill up 350 vacant positions for police personnel across various ranks, alongside 94 vacancies for the Mizoram Home Guards. This initiative is expected to address manpower shortages in remote border outposts and strengthen urban policing capabilities.
The state government highlighted that this recruitment process will be conducted under strict transparency guidelines, ensuring a fair selection procedure for the state’s youth. Detailed eligibility criteria, physical efficiency test schedules, and online application timelines are expected to be hosted on the official Mizoram Police portal shortly. Officials added that this expansion will significantly improve the state’s law and order maintenance, traffic management, and emergency response capabilities.
